How it Works:
- Large bases attached at right angles to vertical columns
- Beams, also known as arms, are anchored at one end only
- Supporting upright and base bear the load

Advantages
- Can be very tall due to its unique weight distribution system
- Up to 25% increase in storage capacity compared to others because of its lack of posts or columns on the aisle
- Can store items of virtually any size or shape
Disadvantages
- Aisle space between each rack is required
- Less efficient for pallet storage than other types of racking
- Design and installation can be relatively expensive
Applications
Best for facilities storing large, awkward, long, or bulky materials
